Christian Guitar Hero

We are developing a free Guitar Hero style game that will be community supported and positive themed. The game will be free to download and play and come with a small number of public domain songs. It will be possible to add new songs to the game by downloading them from the community website. Anyone will be able to create and upload song patterns. The audio tracks of the songs will be downloadable from Amazon MP3 for a small cost or if you already own the song on CD you can use that for free. The game will support both Frets on Fire and Freetar Hero song formats. Instructions for making songs are below.

Use the Keyboard, XBox 360 or PC guitars on your PC with Frets on Fire and play Christian songs!

To play DC Talk - Jesus Freak or Petra - Beyond Belief now:

• Download and install Frets on Fire
• Download and install Audacity (to convert music to correct format)
• Download the DC Talk - Jesus Freak or Petra - Beyond Belief guitar patterns.
• Extract the "DC Talk - Jesus Freak.zip" file to your "C:\Program Files\Frets on Fire\data\songs" folder.
• Open the Jesus Freak mp3 file (available on the store page) in Audacity and go to file->export, choose "Ogg Vorbis Files" for the file type and save it as "C:\Program Files\Frets on Fire\data\songs\DC Talk - Jesus Freak\song.ogg" overwriting the blank one that already exists there.
• Run the game and play the song.
  Note: If you get a missing file error about msvcr71.dll you can download the file here and put it in the games directory
• Have fun.
